Exosphere
Nathan Siter Catalog#: Plague 004 Format: CD (Deleted) Highly praised debut album. 61 minutes of icy ambient, isolating scapes and pulsing rhythms. Thomas Köner meets Pan Sonic. Tracklisting 1. Ended (4:50) 2. No Dawn (7:22) 3. Test Environment (6:08) 4. Silver Web Hue (4:35) 5. Deft Eventuality (5:48) 6. Myriad (10:16) 7. [Seven] Jinn (9:02) 8. Next (13:13) Reviews "An early highlight of the Plague Recordings discography, Exosphere is the debut long-player from Nathan Siter. The label itself volunteers the description: "Thomas Koner meets Pan Sonic", and that certainly goes some of the way towards accounting for the harshness and frosty severity of the music on the album. Dabbling in deathly drones and uncompromisingly stark beat elements, Exosphere isn't an easy-going or casual listen, but it is a fine example of modern industrial-influenced electronic music. Expect punishing tectonic rhythms ('Myriad'), some brooding, Sahko-inspired sci-fi ('No Dawn') minimalism, iced over ambient discourses ('Silver Web Hue') and unusual electroacoustic soundscapes like 'Deft Eventuality' among the highlights."
